The Beam of Light
Who We Are
The Beam of Light is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of foster parents and foster supporters. Our vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate the public on issues surrounding the foster care system. We also work hard to be advocates for our hard-working, loving foster parents.
The Beam of Light works with local foster agencies, social workers, and other community partners to bring support through faith around Hancock County. Our organization supplies foster children with new bicycles, clothing, birthday boxes, suitcases, and more.
Make A Difference
Through our fundraising and assistance network, we strive to give children in foster care a nurturing home, brighter future full of opportunity, and a greater sense of normalcy. We also work collaboratively to encourage and support foster parents during legal, and often lengthy, processes.
Our Projects, each named after a very special foster child, are Project Eli, Project Lena, Project Dax, Project Alex, and Project Chris. Discover how each project contributes to the care of foster children and how you can support one of your choice.
